While in Big Sur: Weather should be up into the 80’s during the day, sunny and warm. At night it can get down to the 50’s-60’s, so bring a sweater. General attire for Big Sur is rather casual. Rain is possible, so be prepared with an umbrella or jacket just in case.
For the Wedding: We would like our guests to wear semi-formal attire. Dresses, jackets and ties are appropriate. Keep in mind, however, that the entire evening is outside, so bring something warm to throw on later at night.
Ladies: The entire evening is on a grass field so high heels are discouraged
Children are welcome at our event. We have a flower girl and junior bridesmaid. However, parents should seriously consider this before you bring your children: Paion is not a safe location. The ceremony and reception are both held on grass fields bordered by 200 foot sheer cliffs dropping off to the ocean. There are no guard-rails or other safety measures. While being a breathtakingly beautiful location, it is also rather dangerous if you’re not paying attention to where you are going. For more on this please contact us.
